Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love by sending gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world. Every shoebox is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel.
What Is Operation Christmas Child?
God is using simple shoebox gifts, prayerfully packed in Canada, to change lives for eternity. Operation Christmas Child is equipping local churches in over 100 countries to share the Gospel and deliver shoebox gifts at child-friendly outreach events.

Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world and together with the local church worldwide shares the good news of Jesus Christ.
Every shoebox is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel.
At an outreach event, local churches invite children to The Greatest Journey. The 12-lesson discipleship course teaches children to know Jesus as their Savior and share Him with others. As children hear the Gospel and their faith grows, they often tell family and friends. Upon graduation, children receive a New Testament in their own language.
When children graduate from The Greatest Journey, friends and family are invited to the graduation ceremonies where they also hear the Gospel, and many more come to faith. Often entire families decide to follow Jesus, and churches are planted for the first time in communities.
