Our Response in Action
Upon receiving a request, the Samaritan’s Purse Canada response manager will work with local authorities to assess the needs, size, and scope of the event and our capacity to respond.
Once deployed, our on-site program manager will:
- 1.Liaise with the local emergency operations center (EOC) to identify the most heavily impacted areas.
- 2.Establish our base of operations, typically at a local church.
- 3.Promote a local phone number for homeowners to request assistance.
- 4.Mobilize and equip local and national volunteers to serve their neighbors.
- 5.Liaise with other NGOs and government agencies to ensure the most robust delivery of assistance to those affected by the disaster.
