The Burlington Fire Department volunteered with Samaritan's Purse to help out those affected by the flooding.
In the course of five hours on August 4, 2014 intense weather in the Greater Toronto Area dumped 13 cm ( 5 inches) of rain on the city of Burlington. Flash flooding affected more than 1,000 homes, mostly in the south end of the city between Queen Elizabeth Way and Lake Ontario. Samaritan’s Purse partnered with World Renew to assist with clean-up and recovery efforts.
We were honored to have the Burlington Fire Department volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse to help with flood clean-up.
