Clean Water. Healthy Lives.

Samaritan’s Purse is working around the world in Jesus’ Name to give communities clean water.

Sitheang’s children had no choice but to drink contaminated water gathered from the only source in their rural Cambodian village. As a result, they were often sick with illnesses that can prove life-threatening to children and infants in developing countries around the world.

Now I know that only Jesus can pay for my sins. I’m so excited because more and more people here are becoming Christians.”—Sitheang

Without safe water in their homes for drinking, bathing, cooking, and washing, more than two billion people face daily threats from waterborne diseases. Responding to this crisis, Samaritan’s Purse has worked for decades to offer reliable sources of clean water and hygiene education in countries around the world. In Jesus’ Name, we’re helping build healthier communities and bringing hope for today and eternity.

Sitheang, her husband, and children have all grown healthier as a result of our clean water project in their village. Providing something as basic as drinking water also helped point the way for her to receive Living Water, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We praise God for the salvation of Sitheang and her family! And this was only the beginning. More than half of Sitheang’s neighbors have decided to place their faith in Christ!

“Now I know that only Jesus can pay for my sins,” Sitheang said. “I’m so excited because more and more people here are becoming Christians.”
