CDR Volunteer Application - Generic

Samaritan's Purse’s Canadian Disaster Relief Program provides rapid-response assistance to victims of natural disasters across North America. Strategically positioned equipment and personnel throughout Canada enable us to deploy within 24-48 hours of an event. Building upon this established disaster relief framework, Samaritan's Purse has developed a Mass Care Ministry, capable of establishing and managing 500-bed temporary shelters in collaboration with Municipal and Provincial Emergency Operations Centers.

Samaritan's Purse is seeking local Calgary volunteers, 14 years and older, to support the preparation of essential Mass Care supplies in the Calgary warehouse, including hygiene kits, towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows. These kits will be distributed to individuals displaced by disasters in Samaritan's Purse operated facilities. This volunteer opportunity offers a tangible means to provide critical support to vulnerable populations during times of crisis.

Please note: We will have a break area with snacks and drinks available during your shift. If you have signed up for both morning and afternoon shifts we recommend you bring a lunch for in between the shifts. We have a fridge that you will have access to if you require one.
