El Salvador Water Feb/19 Team

Samaritan’s Purse Canada is taking a team of volunteers on an exciting trip to El Salvador to help provide clean water for people in need. Simple, Canadian-designed BioSand Water Filters (BSF) use layers of sand, gravel, and naturally occurring micro-organisms to transform contaminated water into safe water in seconds. In addition to a BSF, families receive health and hygiene training to foster positive behavior changes and overall health improvements for families. The team will be hosted by our partner organization – Agua Viva (Living Water); they are committed to the implementation and proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a holistic manner in order to achieve human transformation.

Project: Working on the construction, installation and monitoring of BioSand Water Filters, and taking part in discipleship initiatives and community outreach.
