Costa Rica Operation Christmas Child Family Team December 2020

Location: Costa Rica Dates: December 26, 2020 - January 2, 2021 Donation Amount: $3500/person Volunteers needed: 30 volunteers
Over the Christmas holidays of December 2020/January 2021, Samaritan’s Purse Canada is inviting families to join us on an exciting mission trip to Costa Rica!

Your family is invited to join Samaritan’s Purse Canada in Costa Rica to distribute Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. This unique mission trip is intended for families to serve together, and children 10 years of age and older are welcome to apply. Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on project that brings joy and hope to children who may be suffering as a result of war, poverty, famine, disease, or disaster. These gifts are a reminder that they are loved and not forgotten. Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has distributed more than 157 million shoebox gifts to children in over 130 countries. Many children who receive a shoebox gift are also offered the opportunity to participate in a follow-up discipleship program called The Greatest Journey. This 12-lesson Bible study helps children to know Jesus, follow Him, and share their faith with others.

Working alongside Samaritan’s Purse staff and our national ministry partners, you will experience the excitement of Operation Christmas Child shoebox distributions and The Greatest Journey program. Participants will also have the chance to assist with children’s ministry and other outreach opportunities in the local community. Most importantly, you will be part of offering the greatest gift of all - the story of Jesus Christ and the Good News of salvation available to everyone through faith in Him.
