Samaritan’s Purse Canada (SPC) is seeking a Phone Contact Team Supervisor who will be responsible for leading the Phone Contact Team in their efforts to engage and encourage SPC donors, the general public and program participants. This position oversees organizational ministry call-out campaigns, ensures effective and sufficient staffing, and provides training on how to connect with donors regarding ministry initiatives and opportunities, prayer and encouragement. Additionally, this role will be responsible to create scripts for call-outs and conduct calls alongside the team as necessary. As an integral member of the Donor Ministry department, this role will help SPC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry. The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time permanent position in the Calgary office. This position may be seconded to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) at the discretion of the Director of Donor Ministry.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provides professional and high-quality customer service by effectively and efficiently responding to internal and external inquiries though multiple types of mediums
  • Supervises and leads the ministry call-out campaign team by communicating the goals and mandate, providing ongoing coaching and training to staff, and ensuring effective scheduling
  • Leads the Phone Contact Team in their efforts to thank and pray for donors and constituents
  • Hires, trains, and supervises the OCC Call Center seasonal staff
  • Maintains relevant and up-to-date understanding of information and sources of reference in order to accurately respond to all inquiries courteously, efficiently and quickly; informs the team of current ministry initiatives and opportunities in a timely and consistent manner
  • Ensures the accurate data collection, order processing of various programs, and tracking of donor concerns and inquiries; assists in database clean up and maintenance as required
  • Liaises with management in the planning and implementation of ministry call-out campaign strategies to meet desired targets

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the Samaritan’s Purse Statement of Faith
  • Post-secondary diploma and/or experience in Office Administration
  • Pleasant and professional manner when dealing with people, both in-person and over the phone
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience, in customer service or call center environment
  • Detail oriented, consistent, accurate and efficient
  • Flexible and able to work with challenges as they arise
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bilingual – French/English considered an asset
