Samaritan’s Purse Canada (SPC) has a unique opportunity for an experienced Solutions Coordinator to assist our Information Technology (IT) team with a variety of administrative, coordination and support responsibilities. Through efforts to enhance the department’s effectiveness and efficiency and to provide end-user support on technical resources, this role helps support the organization’s Charitable Purpose and Mission to share the Gospel domestically and internationally. As an integral member of the IT department, this role will help SPC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry. The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time permanent position in the Calgary head office. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, RRSP contributions (after 1 year of employment) and 15 days of vacation per year to start.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and support the IT equipment procurement process, liaise with the Finance department for technology purchases
- Coordinate asset management and inventory for the department
- Coordinate the maintenance of contract renewals, software licensing and the cyber-security program
- Support the IT Team by providing application testing for new and updated products and services
- Respond to end-user requests, maintain and stay current on features and upgrade opportunities
- Train staff and coordinates vendor-based upgrades on assigned applications
- Assist the team in developing procedure documentation as determined by the Director of Administration and IT
- Coordinate IT Department staff events and activities
- Perform departmental admin tasks when necessary
- Assist Data Processing Team functions when capacity is required
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the Samaritan’s Purse Statement of Faith
- 2 years of experience in an administrative role, ideally within a technical team
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced in Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Strong coordination, administration, organization and prioritization skills
- Creative problem-solving and ability to connect concepts to move forward with solutions
- Detail-oriented, thorough and able to multi-task
- Awareness of effective adult learning principles
- Willingness to assist and serve as needed
- Familiarity with software procurement is an asset
