Samaritan's Purse Helping Hurricane Victims in Louisiana and Alabama

After Hurricane Laura’s 150 mile-per-hour winds battered the coastline of Louisiana, Sal was overwhelmed with emotion when he heard that our Samaritan’s Purse volunteer team would be helping clear the trees that had fallen into his home during Hurricane Laura.

Samaritan’s Purse Canada was able to respond to help homeowners who suffered damage from hurricanes in Alabama and Louisiana, sending staff and trained volunteers. Canadian teams will be following strict COVID-19 protocols in the U.S. and when they return to Canada.

Thanks  to your generous donations, our teams continue to be on the ground in Fort Vermilion, AB—after terrible flooding this spring—and Prince Edward Island—after Hurricane Dorian last fall. Please pray for the families there as we journey with them in Jesus’ Name, serving them as they pick up the pieces.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” Galatians 6:2

Please keep all of our volunteers and the families they are serving in your prayers as they continue to recover following Hurricane Laura and Hurricane Sally.
