Samaritan's Purse offers hope to Rohingya refugees

Almost one million impoverished Rohingya people have fled violence in Myanmar and are now living in temporary huts, tents, and under tarps in refugee camps in Bangladesh. More than half of those who have arrived are children, the United Nations says.

Samaritan’s Purse will be working to provide food, tarps, and non-food items to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. We are working with local hospitals to provide medical equipment and supplies to those caring for the critically wounded, malnourished, and sick.

“We are very happy for the support of Samaritan’s Purse. The Rohingya people will see the love and compassion of Jesus,” said a local Christian leader in Bangladesh.

Samaritan’s Purse is offering physical relief and an opportunity for Rohingya families to experience God’s love. Please pray for the Rohingya during this time of crisis and suffering.

“These are very vulnerable people who need our help,” said DART member David Bock. “What they need most is hope.”
