Samaritan’s Purse Canada has an incredible opportunity for a seasoned Business Process Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) team to cover a short-term parental leave. Reporting to the Director of Administration and IT, this Analyst serves to enable efficient and effective business processes supporting Samaritan’s Purse Canada in fulfilling its Charitable Purpose and Mission to share the Gospel domestically and internationally. This individual will assist in maintaining the Corporate Process Repository and will collaborate within and across departments to develop cross-departmental continuity, identify opportunities for improvement and establish, implement and train end users on new processes. As an integral member of the IT department, this role will help Samaritan’s Purse Canada carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily devotions and prayer ministry. The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time short-term contract position (ending September 2023), with the possibility of extension/renewal of contract, in the Calgary office.
The Business Process Analyst will help the organization transform and grow by having the opportunity to:
- Work as a liaison across departments to analyze existing business processes, recommending and assisting in designing solutions that support business objectives and the organizational mission
- Participate and document the creation, revision and enhancement of processes to ensure organizational consistency
- Analyze current business processes and workflows; identify areas for improvement or automation and facilitate business process mapping with departments and their teams to improve efficiency
- Facilitate inter-department meetings to present, discuss and gain consensus on new business process designs
- Lead process change projects, identifying timelines and associated costs
- Train and equip end users and business units responsible for managing and operating business processes to ensure effective implementation and healthy process operations
- Provide support to the monitoring and measurement, and provide feedback on process performance
- Utilize Business Process Management Notation to document processes
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the Samaritan’s Purse Statement of Faith
- Post-secondary education and 3-5 years of related work experience as a business process analyst
- Certification in Business Process Analysis is highly desirable
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, business process modeling notations and various modeling designers
- Experience managing process change and leading process redesign sessions
- Solid administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions
- Prioritizes and manages time and projects effectively, ensuring all objectives are achieved
- Approaches a complex task or problem by breaking it down into its component parts and considering each part in detail
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities; training and teaching experience an asset
