A doctor who contracted Ebola is in Winnipeg to thank staff at the National Microbiology Lab for treating the often deadly illness.

In 2013, Dr. Brantly traveled to Liberia to serve with World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse. After contracting and miraculously surviving the Ebola virus in the summer of 2014, Time magazine name the Ebola fighters the “Person of the Year.” Dr. Brantly’s harrowing and heroic take is the subject of the documentary “Facing Darkness.”

Learn how you can be a part of honoring and contributing to the work they risked their lives to do – work which continues around the world today through Samaritan’s Purse Canada Medical Care Projects.
