Ecuador - Youth (July, 2015)
Pan de Vida (Bread of Life) is a long-time ministry partner of Samaritan’s Purse, serving in Quito, Ecuador. Ministering to the vulnerable and less fortunate in their city, Pan de Vida strives to improve the quality of life for individuals through feeding programs, public health teaching, micro-businesses, and Bible teaching. Pan de Vida’s goal is for people to learn the life skills and obtain the resources they need, both spiritually and physically, to eventually be self-sufficient and independent. Since the beginning of their ministry, they have seen many families move from a place of extreme poverty to a place where they can sustain themselves, either through government assistance or on their own. Today, Pan de Vida has grown to serve over 1600 people on a monthly basis through providing a hot meal, the word of God, medical assistance, a micro business program, and much more.
