Jesus Christ, in His actions and words, affirmed women as precious to God and equal heirs to the promise of eternal life. Throughout Scripture, He treated women with dignity and respect. He never minimized the importance of women in His ministry, giving them equal love and honor.

Samaritan’s Purse Canada desires that each of our projects exemplifies the character, heart, and mission of Jesus Christ in demonstrating the justice and compassion of God. Following Christ’s example, we seek to take the humble stance of a servant, and we genuinely desire to learn from our partners and from those we seek to assist through the projects we support.

At Samaritan's Purse, we believe that only through the redemptive power and example of Jesus can women truly be set free from the bondage of poverty, abuse, and exploitation. As women come to know God, in Whose image they were created, He has the power to shatter the lies they have been told about their identity and their value, and they can begin to discover the plans He has for their lives.

It is this true freedom that will lead to lasting change, not only in women’s lives, but in the lives of communities and nations as well.
