Working alongside local Christian partners around the world, Samaritan’s Purse Canada is restoring hope and dignity to women through practical projects that provide opportunities for positive change.

In His actions and words, Jesus treated women with respect and affirmed them as equal heirs to the promise of eternal life. We strive to follow His example, believing that women have the ability to impact not only their immediate family, but also their entire community.

Samaritan’s Purse Canada seeks to support projects that address the health of the whole person – physical, social, emotional, and spiritual. We aim to build the confidence and capacity of women to provide for themselves and their families through poverty alleviation and the provision of economic alternatives.

We support a wide range of projects assisting women and rely on the input of the beneficiaries themselves and our uniquely positioned local partners to identify the most suitable response to a particular community’s needs.

Our projects include psychosocial counseling, education and literacy programs, vocational skills training and income generating activities, life skills training, transitional residential care, as well as health education and medical care.

Samaritan’s Purse also provides assistance to local Christian partners, building their capacity to respond through training and regional meetings that unite, equip, and empower frontline workers reaching out to exploited women.
