reSource Internship Information and Application
CIDA Internship Requirements
Interns must be:
- Between the ages of 19 - 30;
- A post-secondary graduate; that is, a graduate of a degree or diploma program in
a university, college, post-secondary school of technology, post-secondary institute
or a CÉGEP (college d'enseignement general et professionnel, Québec);
- Out of school (that is, you must not have courses, co-op terms or theses left to
complete to satisfy your current degree requirements);
- Ready to begin your professional career;
- Unemployed or underemployed; and
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
You are not eligible if:
- You have had a previous paid, career-related, international work experience.
- You have participated in a Youth Employment Strategy (YES) international internship
program in the past.
Samaritan’s Purse Recommendations
- reSource Interns – Water Track (ten positions)
- Recommended fields of study include sciences, healthcare, administration, economics,
engineering, international studies, or development studies (other fields will be
considered).
- Samaritan’s Purse is seeking individuals who are self-motivated, take initiative,
have integrity, are creative problem solvers, and who work well in a team situation.
- Emphasis also placed on the volunteer and international experience of the applicant.
- Spanish language proficiency is required for postings in Bolivia.
- reSource Interns – Women’s Initiatives Track (four positions)
- Recommended fields of study include psychology, counseling, healthcare, administration,
international studies, or development studies (other fields will be considered)
- Samaritan’s Purse is seeking individuals who are self-motivated, take initiative,
have integrity, are creative problem solvers, and who work well in a team situation.
- Emphasis also placed on the volunteer and international experience of the applicant.
